Employment and the Workplace
- Equal Employment Opportunity/Nondiscrimination
The rights of all workers are honored and respected equally. There is no discrimination in hiring or employment conditions on the grounds of gender, religion, culture, ethnicity, national origin, language, sexual orientation, disability or political affiliation. Pregnant women are afforded full legal entitlement of maternity leave and maternity benefits. There are hiring and employment policies which do not discriminate against vulnerable groups. There an equal opportunities policy.
- Forced Labour
All working time is voluntary.
- Child Labour
All workers are over the local legal age and at least over the age of 17. Young people between the age of 17 and 18 are not permitted to do work which is potentially hazardous to their health. The factory holds adequate, verified records of the ages of all workers.
- Hours of Labour
The standard working week in line with local law and are not excessive. All overtime are voluntary. All workers are allowed at least one day off in seven, on average. The factory holds accurate records showing the hours worked by each worker. Standard working hours never exceed 48 hours per week. Overtime is never more than 12 hours per week.
- Coercion and Harassment
Without any crackdown and bully, all workers are voluntary in selecting job.
- Health and Safety
- There is a Health and Safety policy in place: Safety First; People Oriented; Happily Go to Work and Safely Come Back Home.
- There is an assigned Health and Safety manager.
- Appropriate First Aid and medical facilities are available.
- Appropriate safety and personal protective equipment is provided.
- Health and Safety training is given every two months.
- Training on fire evacuation and prevention is carried out for two times every year.
Concern for the Environment
The factory management demonstrates an understanding of the environmental impact of their operation. The factory has an environmental policy signed by the Chief Executive: rationally utilizing resources; creating fortune to the human beings; discharging water within legal standards for the future generations. The factory has an action plan to deliver the environmental policy. The factory is able to demonstrate active management and improvement of environmental issues
